In year 10 GCSE Art we had an 'exam' where we had to do an observational drawing. There were alsorts of random objects in the middle of the room, and I was sat opposite a broken violin. That was when I fell in love with drawing them, and I will definately be doing more in the future.
This is the drawing from that exam. The weird lamp box thing was next to it on the table.
The following year for our proper exam one of the options was Musical Intruments, so I instantly knew what I was gonna be doing!

These were just part of the prep work. Not a lot to do with what I was planning on doing, but had to be done to please the examiner.. Sigh.
This was a very quick sketch of what I wanted the final piece to look like.
And this is the final piece after the first day of the exam (5 hours - 10 hours total exam).
I didn't get a picture of it when I had totally finished it (in total it took me 7 hours, spent the last 3 hours finishing coursework and prep sheets).
But I have now got a picture of it a year later, framed and looking pretty!
I've never been overly proud of my own work, but with this piece I am extremely proud and pleased with myself. I don't want to boast, but it's bloody good :) And I enjoyed every second of it's creation. Bonus!!
